Trackworks at Ringwood Centre almost complete

Little Athletics for 07/08 has come and gone, and we are now looking forward to next season and using Ringwood’s newly re-laid track.  Don’t forget the Cross Country season is on during the winter months, a great way to keep fit while you wait for Track and Field to re-commence October 2008.  Advice about registration will be posted later this year.

Congratulations to Heathmont winners of the 07/08 Bruce Seely shield

Ringwood Little Athletics Centre is part of the Australia wide network of Little Athletics Centres. Located in Ringwood, (one of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs) we have over 250 member athletes.

Our athletes compete most Saturday mornings and some Friday evenings in track & field events from October to March each year. Cross Country events are held from April through to July each year.

The 2007/8 season will commence in October 2007. Athletes wishing to become involved in Little Athletics are able to
register at any time.  Half season registrations are available from January 2009.

We encourage participation by under 7 to under 15 age group athletes in structured athletic activities in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.

Athletes are given the opportunity to participate in individual and team activities. They will learn new skills, stay fit and healthy and the same time have fun and make new friends.

Objectives of RLAC include helping the athletes develop a positive attitude, promote healthy lifestyle and achieve sporting potential whilst fostering family participation and fitness.
